Training & Supervision

Dr. Schacter is the founder and clinical director of Care Counseling, LLC in Aventura, Florida, where she focuses on not only private practice, but therapist training and supervision as well. She is also an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University where she teaches and trains masters and doctorate level students at the Brief Therapy Institute (BTI). She is an approved Supervisor in the state of Florida, licensed to supervise Mental Health Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists who wish to seek licensure in the state of Florida. Nationally, she is an AAMFT approved supervisor who specializes in providing training to psychotherapists who wish to learn more about relational and systemic approaches to therapy.  As a supervisor, Dr. Schacter ensures a learning environment that is supportive and nurturing while providing therapists and trainees access to the latest innovations in the field. Her approach is collaborative and is customized to each individual student’s specific areas of interest. For supervision students who live far from her office location or have busy schedules, Dr. Schacter can utilize technology to help alleviate some of the difficulties involved.
